In addition to the traditional multi-disk system it has a large drag system mounted beneath the spool, which by equalizing the drag force stabilizes and dissipates heat, promising a smooth drag under extreme tensions. This extra oversize drag washer equals the inside diameter of the spool skirt, increasing the range of drag adjustment from normal high pressure to complete “lock up” of the drag, and will be appreciated by anglers using braid.
